Hi I’m Mel

I am the heart behind Communal Stories. For me, events are more than gatherings, they’re opportunities to spark connection, create belonging, and leave people with moments they’ll never forget.

With over 10 years of experience across live music, corporate, community, and cultural events, I’ve had the privilege of designing experiences that range from intimate celebrations to large-scale festivals. Along the way, I’ve helped raise more than $500,000 for humanitarian causes, showing how events can be a powerful platform for advocacy and impact.

I believe the magic of an event lies in the feeling it creates, the way people connect, laugh, dance, and carry those memories forward. Through supplier sourcing, logistics, programming and creative direction, I bring a balance of organisation and imagination to every project.

At the core of my work is a simple truth: people never forget how you made them feel. My mission is to help brands, communities, and individuals tell their story in ways that inspire action, spark conversations, and build lasting connections.
